Given the speed of new releases, sometimes it feels like the crew at Blackman’s Brewery collectively bleed West Coast IPAs. But as 2022 comes to a close, the Victorian brewery have produced a hazy filled with a hoppy punch in Super Wonderful Haze. Those super wonderful hops are Cryo Idaho 7, El Dorado, Citra and New Zealand’s Motueka and Taiheke which the brewery double dry hopped with.
Pouring with a pale golden haze, there’s an immediate wave of nectarine nectar, while that’s joined by passionfruit, lime and light rockmelon. While it's certainly juicy, in a sign that you can’t take a Surf Coast brewery too far out of the West Coast, there’s a dry and bitter finish that ensures Super Wonderful Haze remains the Blackman’s we know and love.
