For the third year running, CoConspirators and Blackhearts & Sparrows are celebrating International Women’s Day with The Brewer, a limited release that (quite literally) puts women at the front and centre of beer.
In 2024, the style they’ve picked is one that’s too rare a sight in this country: an Extra special bitter. The traditional English style is well known for it's wonderful balance and it's one that's particuarly loved by Blackhearts’ beer buyer, Cherry Murphy and the CoConspirators crew. Here, their ESB shows how perfectly malt and hops can strike a delicious balance, with a mix of toffee, caramel, earthy hops and an upfront bitterness all combining in a beer that's incredibly satisfying and one you'd order again without a second though.
