There's a fresh crime wave coming out of a single suburb in Melbourne and 2023 isn't even an election year. CoConspirators Brewing's two hoppy releases are a first for Brunswick brewery, with these tall tins their inaugural 440ml cans. The Bandit is a red IPA ready for some daylight robbery during Autumn's shorter days and packs Cashmere, Amarillo and Mosaic hops in a web of rich malts. It means the beer hits with a mix of raisins, bergamot and chewy caramel while those hops bring pine, marmalade and a bitter finish.
The Repeat Offender certainly wears the kind of beery mask you should be used to seeing in a lot of limited releases, that of an Oat Cream IPA. Here, the hops are Sabro, Azacca, Citra and Vic Secret while wheat, oats and lactose in the beer's body keep things incredibly lush and smooth. Pouring a very thick, pale yellow that suggests maybe this tough guy is just misunderstood, you'll find this figure to bring lawyers of citrus, pineapple, mango and coconut.
