Ocean Reach Czech 1, 2 & Midnight Dancing Panther

The temperature's dropped, the days are shorter and Ocean Reach are certainly ready with two dark drops. Czech Czech 1,2 is a dark lager with a lot of flavour packed into quite a crisp, lean and dry package with the beer's roasted and rich tones all quickly disappearing once each sip is gone. But a fine finish doesn't mean you're missing any flavour with the aroma one of spice, aniseed and coffee that carry through on the palate and are joined by dark chocolate and a hefty dose of rich roast.

When it comes to roast, Midnight Dancing Pather certainly has that dialled all the way up with the stout filled with sweet layers of milk chocolate and loads of rich dark fruit. At 7.3 percent ABV, there's a substial thickness at play and as it warms, further fruit comes out that are akin to the dark plum characters that escape from fresh coffee beans.
