This is a summery sour you can drink by the pot, schooner or pint.
Raspberry Sour is dosed with 100g of raspberries per litre, and the flavour is strong but gentle, like Sully from Monsters Inc. There’s a fruity zing and big florals - I’m talking those specific floral notes you get from raspberry, not from any variety of flower - and just enough sweetness hanging around to cushion the tart punch. The acidity is still there, but isn’t enough to scare anyone off, and won’t require you to take any Quick-Eze tablets.
If you’re someone who drinks a lot of sour beers, another raspberry kettle sour may not seem like a big deal to you. And in some ways, this beer isn’t trying to be a big deal. But when a beer’s picked up a handful of gold medals at beer awards over the last few years, you know it’s well-made. And when a raspberry sour can hold its own against the lagers at a pub venue like Brisbane Brewing Co Woolloongabba, you know its a crowdpleaser.
