It’s been a tough 2024 and Good Land Brewing look a little ready to call it for the year. At the very least, in the case of Beach Umbrella, they’re eager for more time by Gippsland’s water and some appropriately light and hoppy refreshment. The DDH Pale Ale was made with Citra, Strata and Riwaka which all bring loads of fresh mango, peach, nectarine and white grape against a smooth and pale hazy body with a dry finish.
Jingle Juice meanwhile has decked the halls and comes wrapped in HyperBoost; a concentrated hop oil from Yakima Chief Hops that’s designed to amplify hop aromatics. The double IPA sees Good Land feature Citra in three ways, with traditional pellets used alongside that HyperBoost and Cryo, while Amarillo also jingles along in Cryo form. Here the stars are lush orange juice, pineapple, pawpaw and loads of fresh peach, with hints of those hop notes particularly aromatic and seeming to cling to the glass even after the beer is gone.
