Eagle Bay have revisited a popular past release for this Brewers Series release, revamping their Citrus IPA just in time for some spring sipping.
Brewed using citrus grown on the Eagle Bay property, the brewers mainly utilised the flavourful zest, added at a whopping rate of 2.5kg per 1,000 litres, that sees flavours of lemon and lime play a strong lead while the hops lend almost equal support. Cryo Mosaic, Simcoe and Cascade were the hops of choice, contributing a punchy tropical fruit aroma. London Ale yeast refines those tropical fruit characters while also lending a drying finish and allowing the perceived bitterness to hold steady.
A robust, citrus driven IPA laced with vibrant hop character, flawless balance and limited in availability, this one won’t be around for very long; and it's best drunk fresh anyway!
