I assume the name of this beer refers to the versatile sailing dinghy of the same name, but all I think of when I hear the word Wayfarer is the final chorus of Boys of Summer.* Not that that’s ever a bad thing.
This Wayfarer is about as easy-drinking as they come with a slight haze, a light but smooth mouthfeel, and a sprinkle of Amarillo and Citra hops. It’s infused with that feeling of looking out over the ocean: gentle and refreshing as a sea breeze, with a whiff of tropical fruit that’s somehow relaxing and energising at the same time.
It’s the beer you’re drinking with your hair combed back and your sunglasses on. It’s the reason you’re walking real slow and smiling at everyone.

*Which is your favourite version of Boys of Summer? Obviously, the Don Henley version is amazing, and in the world of music there are very few times I ever think a cover version surpasses the original. But, in this case, my pick is The Ataris’ version. Incredible guitar work. (If your favourite version is the DJ Sammy one, you need to take a long hard look at yourself.)
