Since 2020, Local Brewing have been on a mission to talk about food waste and we all know the best conversations start with a beer loaded with fruit. The Surplus Series sees the brewery take leftover bread from Coles and work with the major retailer to find a home for fruit that’s would otherwise end up as trash.

The beer’s unmistakably loaded with the fruit, with it providing a fresh and juicy nectarine that tastes as if the fruits been crushed straight into the beer while the hops add a touch of citrus to the proceedings too too. It’s also lush, soft and leaves the slightest bit of bitterness behind.
