Bodriggy Brewing's home is something of a wonderland where you can spend an entire weekend inside the Abbotsford venue without even discovering all its different facets. But if Stingrays, old-school front bars and lo-fi tunes aren't even close to weird enough for you (and why should the be?), you could make it a little odder with some hazy IIPA by the name of The Weird Weekender. The beer was made with a heavy whirlpool addition of Sabro (apparently the brewery’s biggest yet) alongside Citra Cryo and Motueka Thiol Theory.
What’s Thiol Theory you ask? The Clayton Hops product sees the New Zealand growers combine hops with sauvignon blanc skins which contain a whole lot of thiol precursors to help unlock those tropical fruit notes for which hazies are so well known. For the Weekender, that presents like tropical juice that has a particularly orange zest, along with a whole heap of peach and nectarine, and a slick base that's like diving into a smoothie.
