Bodriggy Brewing have taken a big bite of tropical fruit with their end of summer releases, with each also feeling ready to combat La Niña's humidity. Starting with Perfect Strata, the hazy pale was born from a desire among the Bodo brewers to really showcase one of their favourite hops, which the beer does through both double dry hopping and dip hopping. Pouring pale orange, that Strata seems to provide quite rich and ripe strawberry first and foremost before that’s joined by passionfruit and a very dank herbal note. Towards the back of the palate, a slight hint of orange juice emerges from Perfect Strata’s perfectly soft and fluffy base.
Dialling up the fruit flavour is Hyperspace, a mango and strawberry smoothie sour, that’s best to think of a continuation of Bodriggy’s Space Milk series (although with everything turned up to 11). Of the two fruits, it’s the mango that’s most intense, pairing with the beer’s additional vanilla and general creaminess to make it quite rich and while sure, the strawberry is a little lighter, it pairs with the tartness to help launch Hyperspace further down the smoothie path.
