Otherside Brewing Old Skool IPA

Otherside Brewing operate a membership scheme that bestows the title of Tycoon upon those who sign up as supporters. Among the 2024 perks for Tycoons was to vote in an internal brew comp, with packaging manager Kyle Ricetti’s Maris Otter-based Old Skool IPA edging out a West Coast pale and NZ hazy IPA.

The investment in top notch British malt keeps proceedings generous and appearances an attractive golden – while not getting in the way of a good time. Likewise, balanced bitterness supports the theme without over staying its welcome as classic citrus and pine roll throughout, with a subtle dank undercurrent adding just enough sticky gravitas.

While throwing back to classic IPAs of years gone by, Old Skool does so with a modern finesse and very drinkable intent.
