Even if you don’t know them, a cursory glance at Doom Juice Wine suggests they’re the kind of winery The Mill Brewery would have plenty in common with. But beyond metal appearances, they’re also a small-scale boozemaker committed to innovation and bringing delightful flavours together which means they have much to discuss beyond bands.
In the case of Raspberry & Cherry Sour - the second collab between the two following 2023’s Hellfire Pale - the collaborators have mixed those fruits with Doom Juice Rouge Rouge. The cabernet sauvignon and shiraz blend brings a gripping sourness to the beer while overall, it’s still an incredibly bright affair, which is fitting given its hot pink appearance. Throw in those distinct and quite juicy notes of raspberry and dark cherry and you have one exceptionally refreshing sour that's as ready for a summer afternoon as any chilled red.
