Old Bridge Cellars’ collaborative liquid party popper created with near neighbours Otherside celebrates a decade spent serving North Freo’s cool coastal enclave and beyond. Dry-hopped ten times – once for each year of the Beeson family’s independent ownership – Old Bridge Decadent continues the brewery’s West Coast juicy exploration, which head brewer Rhys Lopez says aims to “strike that balance between soft and hoppy”.
Citra, Mosaic, Eclipse and Sabro hops reveal themselves with a juicy mandarin/orange vibe, dried mango, and pop of Sabro-coconut underneath. Feeling full, the near 7 percent ABV warmth carries ample bitterness, but remember: this isn’t a West Coast, even if the smooth length finishes dry.
