It’s clear Coastal Pale Ale is doing something right. The beer is leading the way with Newstead’s new logo, a fresh can design, and an amped up flavour profile.
This beer started life as a partnership with Surf Life Saving Queensland, but a few years on it has has taken on a life of its own. It’s won fans and collected a swag of medals at national awards, to the point where Newstead are now holding it up as their flagship beer.
While still easy-drinking as always, Coastal Pale Ale’s light haze hints at the tropical pale ale notes it has to offer. Passionfruit and nectarine lead into broader fruit notes and join together with a soft savoury malt character that spreads across the palate. With a sheen of foam like the white water cresting the waves, Coastal’s first sip is like that first dip in the surf on a hot afternoon.
