As Melbourne's weather warms, Tallboy & Moose have two beers ready to greet the longer days. Amarillo Greenhouse is a bold IIPA that’s been hopped - at a rate of 16 grams per litre - with Amarillo in both pellet and Cryo form. It makes for an excellent introduction to the American classic, with the bright, clear and golden yellow beer packing a bitter punch and providing a mix of grapefruit, resin, pine and ripe melon.
Lemon Gelati Nitro Fresca meanwhile is part of an ongoing Fresca series and feels like a beer that should be enjoyed on a boardwalk in California but St Kilda should suit just as well (this is not legal advice, it’s hard work remembering the ever-changing public drinking rules on that stretch of beach). The beer presents a battle between sweet and sour, with tart lemon, sherbety and creamy notes and a nitro-boost all coalescing for a refreshing journey that’s as much sorbet as it is beer - you'd be well served by bringing those two together too.
