Here we are, on these very pages, declaring the hoppy pilsners to be Australia’s style du jour and along comes Molly Rose who make a beer with a different era, or Epoch, in mind. The classic pilsner was brewed over summer, with the brewery team taking advantage of some spare tank space to let the lager slow condition away as they enjoyed roast turkey and cheap bits of merch.
From end to end, it's a a beer soaked in tradition, pouring with a hue that's between golden and straw, crystal clear and providing bright herbal, floral and slightly citrus tones weaving out from the frothy white head. The malt meanwhile provides a delicate sway of sweet biscuit, bread that all leans into a softly bitter and altogether crisp finish.
