What do you get when you pour all the hops into the brew?
A Bucket Full of Nothin’ and a beer that sells out in ten minutes.
To celebrate their fifth anniversary in 2021, Balter asked a few of their mates to brew some collabs and among them, was Mountain Culture. The pair unsurprisingly wanted to make something hoppy and hazy, with the double IPA featuring the latest season's hops from the US that Balter had secured and Mountian Culture’s house yeast. It’s the kind of collaboration that was always likely to appeal to hop lovers but it proved so popular at Sydney GABS that Balter managed to blow their only keg in ten minutes.
Now it’s back as a limited release for 2022 with it appearing in a particularly colourful can for Balter (although it’s a little more business-as-usual for the Mountain Culture crew). Bucket Full of Nothin’ also brings a colourful mix of hop flavours that include ripe orange and pineapple, fresh strawberry, Hubba Bubba gum and musk sticks. Unsurprisingly, it pours incredibly dense and while it's largely a soft and smooth affair, there’s also a bit of bite that joins the party.
