The prolific team at Little Bang can always take you in various directions via the taps lining the brewery bar. Hops various ways, booze levels from high to low, fruity, a little funky or deeply malty – and, should The Pinkening be pouring, colourful as all hell too. The name hints at what to expect, but they could as easily have got away with calling it The Bloody Bright Reddening.
As with Little Banger, this beer came from a desire to have a light beer on tap but not get to that point by sacrificing character. So they started out with a low ABV sour then turned it pink/red via the addition of hibiscus. Lightly acidic, floral, tart and refreshing, it's gentler on the palate than the eyes.
What's more, it's proven so popular it's now in cans, designed with the country's major retailers in mind*, and available year round too.
*Or maybe not...
