Black Forest is a beer that's been released by Dainton in the past, always featuring cherries and on occasion aged on oak too. It returns ahead of winter 2020 sans oak but with plenty to get stuck into regardless.
Inspired by the German gâteau of the same name, you're first met by lashings of roasty, bitter dark chocolate shot through with cherry jus, with the experience getting a little creamier as it warms. Imagine a dense, boozy, liquid version of the cake and you're on the right track.
