Traditional pilsners have been enjoying plenty of love and attention in craft beer in recent times but if your lagers a bit richer, Urban Alley have something for you. Occasionally is a Czech amber lager that pours a deep and rustic colour to immediately show that darker malts are as much a feature as Saaz hops.
On the malt front, the combination of dark fruits and bread brings to mind raisin toast, while there’s a sweeter touch of brown sugar and caramel. The Saaz meanwhile sets out a combination of spice, thyme and earthiness, while a dry finish and substantial bitterness make Occasionally a beer you could easily crack on nearly any occasion.
