When Temple Brewing relaunched their core range in 2021, it may have come with hops aplenty, an easy-drinking ale and even a unique sour but there was a missing plank when it came to styles: lager. Temple Draught joined the brewery’s core range in early 2024 and was designed to rectify that missing link and was brewed with pure, thirst-quenching satisfaction in mind.
While style isn’t at the forefront of the can (or the hand sized can as they call it), if you had to pick one form for the "crisp lager", you mind would surely turn to Helles and Germany thanks to how clean and easily going the beer is while having plenty to find beneath the surface. There's plenty to be found in the way of bready, pretzel-like and dry biscuit aromas and flavours while a light spice joins in and shares the scene with a soft but lasting bitterness.
