A beer to prove that simple need not be boring, Wildflower’s Table Beer is based on the Belgian style of the same name – although in Flemish they, quite naturally, have their own name for their own beer: ‘tafelbier’. The style itself is generally an approachable, light bodied, low alcohol beer that can act as kind of a catchall accompaniment to meals. Wildflower’s take on this is based on a simple wheat malt base, a sparing amount of hops, their house yeast - and that’s it. Unlike the rest of Wildflower’s beers, the Table Beer doesn't go into barrels in order to let the aroma and flavour profiles change. It’s meant to be drunk fresh and it’s meant to be refreshing. And to ensure (as best they can) that the Table Beer is enjoyed as intended you’ll only find it for sale, in unlabelled bottles, at the Wildflower warehouse.
