King River Brewing’s surrounds might be called Prosecco Road but you could make the case the brewery have turned their home into Germantown (OK, Germantown and Belgiumtown might be more appropriate). Head brewer Nathan Munt loves making German-inspired beers and, when October rolls around, you can expect all manner of Bavarian beers to greet you. (Again we’re stretching the truth a bit here - you’re likely to find such beers at any other time of year too.)
Marzen is one such beer, with the amber lager taking its inspiration from those festbiers traditionally served at Oktoberfest. Grab your nearest stein, crack a few cans, and you’ll be transported there too as you drink in the hearty combo of brioche, toasted bread, biscuit and spicy hops with a bitterness that lingers on the palate.

If you’re looking for further refreshment, look no further than some fresh cans of Kolsch or Cliffhanger Hefeweizen.
