Burnley Brewing have been busy collaborating, with the Melbourne brewery inviting two NSW brewers down south for some very different Euro-inspired beers. Forbidden Love is a blood orange radler made with Sydney’s Bracket Brewing which comes “with pulp” and it certainly looks quite pulpy thanks to its thick pour and crimson hue. But looks can be deceiving and this radler is incredibly effervescent, light on its feet and is akin to drinking a fancy bottle of blood orange juice from the best supermarket you can find.
Missed Flight is quite a different tradition altogether with the Vienna lager named for the fact that Seeker Brewing’s founders had so much fun with Burnley, they didn’t quite make it back to Wollongong. But who cares about a missed flight when you’ve got an amber lager? Particularly one that is filled with delicate notes of sweet biscuit, caramel and floral spice.
